MisMemories

OUT November 28, 2026

MisMemories is a collection of contemporary writing from queer West African voices. It features stories that linger on the joys and tragedies of everyday queer life across different corners of the West African region while showcasing some of the best literary voices coming out of West Africa today.

From a getaway to a seaside town in Senegal that alters the relationship of two men in love to a drive through the bustling streets of Accra that heightens the tension between two women navigating a fresh wound, and a gripping tale of a bungalow that once housed an unlikely family of queer artists before getting burned down, these stories offer snapshots of the love, ambition, class, joy, desire, grief, and socio-economic concerns that define what it means to be queer and West African today.
